This is a great project for a beginner as there is not too much work involved, and it requires few supplies. First, you need to find two new, clean pennies, some orange juice and soda, and obtain two bowls or glasses to put the liquid and pennies in. Place a penny in each bowl or glass and fill one part way with orange juice and the other part way with soda. Wait about one week and then check the pennies. Do either one of them have any rust on them? They may not yet, and if they do not you will have to leave them for another week and check them again. Be sure to record your results! This project is a good one for people who have some time to complete their project.
