Science Fair Projects Topics
Science fair projects topics are plentiful in many different categories of science. First you need to begin by choosing a category, such as Astronomy, Biology, Zoology, Chemistry, Earth Science, Engineering, Environmental, Microbiology, Physical Science or Mathematics. After you have chosen a category that interests you, it will be easier to come up with a question to answer; however, there are still plenty of topics to go with each category, so it’s mostly a matter of finding something you want to learn more about. Any project can potentially be a winning science project. It doesn’t have to be the fanciest or more time consuming project. You simply need to present it in a professional manner, be knowledgeable about the subject and prove that you learned something from it.
I recommend these fun science fair kits as a fast, simple way to get started on your science experiment.

Science Fun With Water and Paper
Experiment: Which brand of paper towels can hold more water?
Ages: Elementary School, Middle School
One project to try is to see which brand of paper towel will hold the most water. You can start by gathering several different brands of paper towels and a measuring cup. First, put a quarter of a cup of water into the measuring cup and soak it up with one sheet from each brand of paper. If they all soak up the quarter cup of water, switch to half a cup and see which brands will soak that up, and then continue until you have a winner. Be sure to record you results so you can compare brands. Having the recorded data to refer to in the future is always important in any science project.
