Seventh Grade Science Projects
When it comes to seventh grade science projects, the students will be expected to do the project on their own without parental help. They will also most likely be expected to compete in a school wide science fair. For this reason, it is important that they pick a topic that interests them and they will enjoy doing. One fun project suitable for seventh grade science projects is to find out which brand of painkillers dissolves the quickest. The results of this project will be helpful the next time you have a headache, as you will know which brand of painkiller will go to work the quickest to relieve your pain. All you need for this project is a few different brands of painkillers, such as Advil, Tylenol and Motrin, three cups or glasses, and three quarters of a cup of water. Place one pill of each brand into a cup and add a quarter cup of water to each one. Be sure to time each one so you know which pill dissolves the fastest. You can then record your findings; which of the painkillers dissolved first? Second? Third? In seventh grade, you will likely be expected to present your finding on a backboard in an organized fashion. It is also a good idea to add pictures of your progress to impress the judges. You should also be able to fully explain the project you did and the results you came up with.
